The Clinton Gates business was acquired by W H Bond & Sons in October 2010 to work alongside our fast expanding timber business Bond timber.
W H Bond & Sons Ltd was established in 1957 as a family farming business. Through several generations the business has evolved and diversified whilst still focusing on its agricultural background. Through the 1970s and 80s the family developed and owned the now world famous St. Mellion Golf & Country Club and with the assistance of a certain Jack Nicklaus they created one of the finest golf courses in the world.
With the next generation of Jon, Chris and Alison taking the business through its next phase the company now consists of eight individual departments that provide a one stop shop for all construction and agricultural services. The family currently farms 2,000 acres across South East Cornwall and employs over 100 direct and indirect personnel within the following departments:
Timber sales, plant hire, machinery sales, civil engineering, landscaping, recycling, agriculture & training
At W H Bond we recognise the importance of our environment and at Clinton Gates and Bond Timber we endeavor to ensure that our raw material comes from sustainable sources whilst maintaining the quality and consistency that have built our reputation. Our hand-crafted gate designs are tried and tested over decades and offer a variety of styles that are suitable for many different applications whether you need a gate for privacy, security or to complement your garden. As recognition of their quality of design and construction Clinton Gates have been adopted across Devon and the South – West. Investment in our Devon based workforce and facilities means they are now available throughout the UK.
